Categories of membership include:

O.A.P.          €  5  per annum
Seniors       €20  per annum
Juniors       €  5  per annum

To become a member a bill with name and address in addition to photo I.D. are required.  

A compulsory insurance of €2 per year is also required with above membership fees

About Us

We are a local Angling Club based out of Athy, Co. Kildare with members young and old who participate in a wide range of fishing experiences. 
Athy and District Anglers manage the fishing rights between the Fort of Dunrally, Vicarstown and Maganey Lock on the River Barrow and the Grand Canal. The waters are home to Brown Trout, Salmon, Eel, Pike, Perch, Bream, Rudd and Tench.

Club Members are responsible for restocking and ensuring that all angling by laws are complied with. Membership of the Club is always open and we welcome new members all the time.

Local Court appointed water keepers have the right to confiscate the fishing gear of anyone who is fishing with live bait. It is illegal to have or to use live fish as bait (Use of Live Fish as Bait in Fresh Water Bye-law No. 592, 1977) in the Republic of Ireland. Anybody caught in breach of this law WILL have their gear confiscated and may face a fine of up to €1,500 in a District Court. 

THE GATES OF THE MARINA MUST BE KEPT LOCKED AT ALL TIMES

ANYONE IN BREACH OF THIS WILL BE SUSPENDED FROM USING THE MARINA
